"If you light a path for somebody, it will also brighten your path"
Chinese Proverb
"To acquire balance means to achieve that happy medium between the minimum and the maximum that represents your OPTIMUM.
The minimum is the least you can get by with. The maximum is the most you're capable of.
The OPTIMUM is the amount or degree of anything that is most favorable towards the ends you desire."

Back in Germany I worked with ladies of different shapes, sizes and fitness levels and ensured that each lady felt welcome and reassured. I have the same goal now that we moved to the UK to create an atmosphere where each lady feels comfortable to work within her own boundaries.

Yoga:
I have completed over 400 hours of official training (and counting + unofficial hours) in person with various yoga teachers bringing their uniqueness into the mix. I do not follow any tradition and prefer to be independent and a yoga “freestyler” going with the flow.

Pro: Registrations are supposed to give clients peace of mind that the instructor has qualified in their chosen field.
Con: At the same time these registrations cost money which could be invested better in more courses, workshops … for the benefit of the instructor as well as the clients, rather than any organisation. I am a memeber for now, but I am not sure how long I will keep this up. Again, they are not mandatory.

my name is Mel. I started my yoga path on and off around 2002 in Germany and added fitness in 2009.
I am not a fitness fanatic nor do I live of lettuce alone. My focus is on health and wellbeing rather than constantly fighting against numbers. There is more to life than being a size zero and skinny does not automatically mean healthy and happy.
